Not a Day Goes By...

...That I don't realize how amazing Amaya is. But thankfully, John sends me pictures to remind me anyway.

So cute! So Happy!

She wouldn't let go, long enough even for John to get the camera and document it.

Cute even when John dresses her. (Nice job dear.)

John's phone...

...Takes way better pictures than mine.

In St. George with her little sun hat on.

More Daddy-Daughter time.

John said I took these, but I don't remember.

The Bright Side of a Cold Spell in June

So, it's June, but that doesn't mean it's going to be warm out. Yesterday morning Amaya and I had to run a quick errand. I didn't have time to change her out of her pajamas and blankets are a pain in the carseat (too bad we already gave back the Bundleme). So I decided the snowsuit was going to get one last wearing. I was secretly very happy, since it was too big when it was cold, so it never got the wearing something so cute really deserves. And double bonus, it shows just how much Amaya has grown.

(When John saw this he said, "I like her little half wave." Like a well-mannered celebrity.)

Maybe 2 months ago, I really can't remember.

Three months ago.

Makes me want to go somewhere cold.

Daddy Daughter Time

While I'm at work, I miss Amaya. John eases that pain by sending me pictures and updates. It's only fair that I share them with you.

The message said: "I know she's cold, but she absolutely refuses to keep her arms inside the towel."
To which I replied: "I love her boobies!" Our little exhibitionist.

Message: "I put her down for one second to get a diaper and of course she pees." (Nudity censored.)

Message: "A few minutes in to tummy time she says, 'screw you, I'm not going to hold my head up anymore'"

Message: "This is the only way she'll sleep right now."

Staring at her (current) favorite stuffed animal.

Four Month Milestones

The biggest news is that Amaya rolled over! She only did it once, and she refuses to even try again, but John saw it and I believe him. Since, of course, we didn't have a camera rolling, we instead recreated it, reality TV style.

Use your imagination, can't you just see it?

The second thing is that all of a sudden Amaya can easily support her own weight standing up, and loves doing so.

And thirdly, Amaya has perfected the reach and grab, and gets quite pleased with herself and holds on to her little rings and toys for quite a while.

Another Visit to Cody

We went up to visit Cody again last weekend, but it was so windy we just sat in the car. Notice the oreo's and pizza, we know how to celebrate.

Amaya will sometimes grab, very slowly and very deliberately, when we hold a toy in front of her. It's so cute to see how much work it takes her.
