And how could I forget this one?! On the way back she fell asleep but had this completely angry face almost the whole time. Like a little popeye.

Amaya's First Road Trip
This weekend we went with John's parents and sisters up to Idaho to visit to his Grandma. She did pretty good, considered she was tired but couldn't sleep, and hungry but couldn't eat. Life is hard. I got pretty bored too, so I took a million pictures. John took other pictures that may or may not be eventually posted.
Along the way she learned to hold her own pacifier. Kind of. And only for a few seconds at a time.

A Million Amaya Adventures: Washington
Just a another million pictures of this perfect little child.
Mom's friend let us borrow a car seat and Amaya loved it! She would fall asleep as soon as we put her in it, I know a blessing when I see one so we bought it from them!
She's starting to appreciate her pacifier more (as am I).
She loved being held by Juan, any time she was fussy we would give her to him, we recognized he's just got "the touch".
An ode to Robert and Lynda's "Big world, Little Simon" series.
And while trying to get the above shot... (I'm never going to learn that I can't turn the camera for a video. Just accept it, I have.)
More grandma time.
We also just realized that we really haven't even been giving Amaya tummy time. Hopefully she won't be the kid in elementary school that still can't hold up her head.
Mom's friend also had the same swing as us! Which mean 1)Amaya slept wonderfully the whole time, and 2) we still aren't working on weaning her from the swing. Next week?
Amaya and Juan watching TV together. She loved "chewing" on his thumb.
Mom working while grandmothering Amaya. Look at those little feets!

Phone Pictures from our Adventures in Washington
Amaya and I came up here to Washington to take full advantage of my maternity leave and to do some translating work for mom.
I don't have a memory card reader here, so I'll have to post the rest of the pictures when I get home.
Us on the plane, Amaya was an angel (meaning she slept) the whole time.
She sleeps the same in Washington as she does at home, good to know.
At mom's office
Just some cute pictures

I Need a Hobby
I'm home a lot now, and sometimes I get a little bored. And sometimes when I'm bored, I take pictures of Amaya and send them to John at work. And then I post them on her blog.
Amaya has so many cute shoes, but the only way I can get them to fit is if I put them on over her pajamas. So be it.
She has this cute cute little snow suit, but it was too big when it was really cold out. So now if it's cold outside it means we have to go out just so she can wear it! (It might still be a little big.)
With her big diaper and her high waisted pants she looks like an old man! I love it!

Easter
Here's some videos that Jena took. The second one, again she forgot she can't turn the camera, but the "toddler bobble" was so cute, she wouldn't erase it.

Smiles! Documented!
This is what I was talking about, a huge open grin. It makes everything so worth it.

Bath Pictures (Nudity-Free)
Amaya tends to become fascinated by things our adult eyes can't really recognize. There is some spot or something on the wall by the sink that she stares at every time she gets a bath. Who knows. But she loves it, so what else matters.
The first time she did it, it was to look at her tia Brenda, it was about the longest eye contact she's ever held.
But then the next time, she was still staring at the same spot. Maybe she was looking for Brenda?
Swishy feet shot. Can't help it, I love her little feet.
Still staring (the washcloth is to keep her warm, not for modesty)
And still staring.
